Selling your business yourself

You know your business. But do you know what a buyer could finance at your asking price? If you’re ready to sell a business that has it’s financial house in order, have a valuation in mind that is aligned with the market, and are comfortable negotiating with buyers without a broker, Deal Connect can be a faster and less costly way to sell your business.

Viso Deal Connect helps owners understand buyer financing scenarios and reach our extensive network of active and qualified buyers. We help you prepare a deal teaser and evaluate financing scenarios. You choose what to disclose, screen inquiries, and manage the sale directly with buyers and your M&A attorney. And you’ll have Viso assisting you with understanding which offers can truly close with financing, and the option for Viso to usher the buyer through the SBA loan process with great efficiency and transparency.

How Deal Connect works

1. Start with a conversation.

Tell us about your business, timing, and price expectations. We discuss buyer fit and whether Deal Connect is right for you.

2. Review the financing scenarios.

We work with you on a cash flow model and explore how different deal structures could affect a buyer’s financing options.

3. Approve your teaser.

You review and approve the information before we share it with buyers.

4. Connect with buyers.

Viso clients get a one-week first look before we share the opportunity more broadly. Inquiries go directly to you, with no upfront cost or brokerage services. We simply help you reach qualified buyers and close efficiently.

Who Deal Connect is for?

Deal Connect fits owners who want to manage their own sale and would benefit from financing guidance and access to buyers.

You should be ready to:

  • Provide reliable financial records and business information.
  • Respond to buyer inquiries and support due diligence.
  • Negotiate directly with buyers, supported by an experienced M&A attorney.
  • Plan for an orderly transition to the new owner.
  • We look for businesses that fit current buyer demand and have a plausible path to financing at the seller’s price expectations. If you need someone to manage the entire sale, a full-service business broker may be a better fit.

What you handle

You remain responsible for the accuracy of your disclosures, buyer screening, negotiations, and the sale process. Your attorney advises you on legal documents and transaction terms. Viso provides financing guidance, teaser preparation, and access to our buyer network.

The seller fee

A $10,000 seller fee applies if your transaction closes with a qualifying Viso client, as defined in your Deal Connect agreement.
